Project Background:

This client farm is near to Windhoek, Namibia, Focused on laying hens, this enterprise reflects the client’s commitment to producing high-quality eggs for the local market.

Customer Requirement:

With a recent contract secured with a prominent local supermarket, the client transitioned from reselling eggs to producing their own. This shift necessitated a higher standard solution, optimizing efficiency, reducing labor, and enhancing egg productivity.

Project Solution:

Collaborating closely with our engineering team, the client’s needs were carefully assessed. The solution has auto feeding, auto drinking, auto manure removal, and an automated egg collection system. The goal was to minimize human intervention while maximizing egg output.

Equipment Details:

The chosen solution revolves around an A-type layer chicken cage system, housing 12,000 layer birds in each shed, organized into three rows. The incorporation of auto-feeding, auto-drinking, and auto-manure removal systems significantly reduces the need for manual labor. Moreover, the introduction of an automatic egg collection system streamlines the entire process, requiring only two workers for efficient egg harvesting.

Advantages Of The Solution:

The tailored design and installation of the cage system align precisely with the client’s specifications, transforming the existing farm into a modern poultry facility. The automated features not only enhance bird management but also contribute to a notable reduction in bird mortality. Importantly, the automatic systems lead to a substantial increase in egg production, meeting and exceeding the client’s expectations.

This venture not only signifies a successful collaboration between the client and our engineering expertise but also represents a significant step forward for the poultry industry in Windhoek, Namibia. As the farm embraces cutting-edge technology and automation, it sets the stage for increased efficiency, improved productivity, and sustainable growth in the local poultry sector.
